Stephen Schaffer, MD
Dr. Schaffer is a board-certified specialist in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. With a master’s degree in choral music and honors from medical school at the University of Arizona, he brings a unique blend of artistry and medical expertise to his practice. He completed his residency at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Schaffer’s passion for singing fuels his special interest in treating voice disorders at Resound ENT, where he combines his love for music with his medical skills to help patients find their voice.

John Kokesh, MD
Dr. John Kokesh graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine in 1988. He spent two years training in General Surgery at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle before completing his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Washington in 1994. Dr. Kokesh brings years of expertise and dedication to his practice, ensuring the best care for his patients.

Jennifer L. Mitchell, MD, Ph.D
Dr. Mitchell is a board-certified specialist in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. She completed a Ph.D in bioanalytical chemistry and an MD at the University of New Mexico in 2011. She finished a general surgery internship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and an Otolaryngology residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2016. She proudly served in the Air Force and was stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson. After this, she cared for veterans at the Anchorage VA before moving into private practice. She enjoys exploring Alaska with her three children and husband and spends the rest of her free time dabbling in all forms of arts and crafts.
